On display in the workshop, is a variety of carefully selected frame moulding chevrons, mountboard chevrons and glass types. This will help ensure the level of your personalised frame is chosen exactly how you want it to be. Furthermore, it will be an aid to showcase what level of protection is available to help conserve your framed artwork or item.

Some examples of the different methods used to enhance and make your framed item truly bespoke can be by choosing the level of your glazing. This could be from standard glass to anti- UV or reflective glass. Why not add an additional wow factor or other means of conservation by using a thicker mountboard. Or add the extra finishing touch with a V-grove, a hand painted wash finish or the classic hand drawn ruled line.

As mentioned, conserving your framed item is key.  E J Framing will be following the Fine Art Trade Guild standards in the hopes to become a certified Guild framer.

Speciality glass elevates picture framing by protecting and enhancing your artwork while maintaining visual clarity. Options include UV-filtering glass to guard colours from fading, museum-grade low-iron glass for virtually invisible clarity, anti-reflective glass to reduce glare in bright rooms, and conservation glass designed to prevent chemical damage over time.

Photographs and watercolours benefit most from strong UV protection; fine art and items where colour fidelity matters gain from low-iron glass; and frames displayed under spotlights or large windows are well suited to anti-reflective glass. For valuable or delicate works, conservation-grade glass offers both protection and longevity.
